Good Morning,
I can't seem to find my notes on setting up a test DB in 5.1. Did a
quick look on the Epicore site, but didn't find it. Can anybody
supply me with the notes, or let me know where there at on the web
site? Thanks - Les
Les,
Essentially, you just need to copy your configurations from your main database in Progress Explorer (or Procontrol) and change a couple things: Change the service name/port number to whatever is in your services file. ProCopy the database over to whatever directory the Training Vantage.vtg points to. Then you can adjust the startup settings to use minimal resources so that you don't slow down your live database.

On the Client, if you use Epicor's default tcp/ip port and service name, you can just run the Client Setup and click to put the Training Icon's onto the desktop.
