Support for enhancement request - Project tracker - invoiced amou n

The project tracker invoiced amount includes Taxes - the sales order amount
does not so the comparison is silly!! (I'd be interested to know if some of
you are happy with it though!)

So if you want to register your support to Epicor for the enhancement
request the details are

Document #8056MPS and my call reference is 742510PSC.

Thank you in anticipation

Subject: Payroll Question

We recently changed the way that our health (and other) insurance is handled
and I'm not sure that we have setup Vantage payroll to work properly.

The situation we have is that our employees pick from a number of different
insurance policies, including health, dental, vision and life. The company
pays a set number of dollars to the employee for insurance in general.
Their cost for the selections they have made may be higher or lower than the
amount that the company pays. All of this is non-taxable except that the
employee should be taxed for the full amount of the life insurance premium.

We created a Pay Type for the company's contribution, but the only way that
we can figure out to get the correct amount added to each check is to
manually add a fixed dollar amount to each employee's check which requires a
bunch of extra work. It would seem to me that there should be an easier
way.

We looked at creating a Deduction type with the appropriate taxing setup but
making it a negative amount. This allows us to set the amount one time in
the Employee master record but I'm concerned that Vantage won't handle this
the way we intend.

Any ideas about how to solve this? Does anyone else face this same
situation? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

It turns out that there IS a problem with patch 5.01.129 related to
Shipping. It is to be fixed in patch .130 but I have heard no definite
timing as to when patch .130 will roll out. Anyone who was considering
installing patch .129 may be wise to wait.

Has anyone had problems in Shipping since installing patch .129? We
installed the patch last night. Today when making a shipment on an order
that had a previous partial shipment we are finding that the Shipped Qty is
doubled for the new packing slip.

Has anyone else seen this problem? We are contacting Epicor as well.

Here's an odd question for any Windows experts. I know how to make a
keyboard "Shortcut key" for a desktop icon. But is there a way to HIDE that
icon so that it does not show up on the desktop but still works from the
keyboard shortcut key?

Troy,

If your folder settings are set up to hide hidden and system files, you can
right click on the shortcut, and make its properties as hidden.

Alternatively, you can nest the shortcut containing the hotkey within the
start menu.

It will recognize then anywhere in the Start Menu tree, too. I like to
setup a Start Menu\My Stuff\Keyboard Shortcuts and prefix each shortcut's
name with its key letter.
