I was just curious about others’ methods for mass updating supplier price lists. I know about the export/import ability using a .CSV file; however, this is only able to be used when updating the prices for existing parts and will not allow you to create new supplier parts.
Another approach to creating new supplier parts would be to paste insert them; however, this is no an option on our version of Epicor.
Does anyone have an easy and efficient method of both updating existing supplier part prices and creating new supplier parts?
Use DMT if you have it, else you can list all the parts for a supplier (list), right click copy to excel…change your prices, then copy the whole excel (exclude header) and right click and select paste update. Practise in your test environment. For new parts use the same excel format and add rows as required…copy the new parts (all the columns etc), right click and select paste insert.
Why don’t you have paste insert for your version?? security?
Have you looked into making an updatable BAQ dashboard for this? We have one for our customer price lists, its mult-pane. One pane does the header of the price list, the other does the details (parts and price).
