Subject: [Vantage] Supplier performance

Does anybody know of a good software that is design to measure supplier
performance and can interface with Vantage directly or indirectly?

How does everybody measure their supplier? We are working on our TS16949
certification and we need a supplier performance system in place in
order to get certified.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jasper

Jasper,

I rarely give suggestions that are not in my realm of expertise - per se
- but I remember being at a client and they had created BAQs that
actually had their supplier information divided up into different
categories - best lead time, most $$ spent, best on-time, etc. Not sure
if this is what you are looking for, but you may want to work a little
with BAQs and see if you can put something together...also you may have
to customize some stuff in order to get this information - which IMO -
would be better than trying to integrate a third party software package
that Epicor may or may not support.

Thanks,

Jason,
I use the Epicor Supplied Supplier performance tools.
They provide a decent (albeit) basic analysis.
The bottom line is GiGo, and for supplier delivery performance, you have to set the threshold tolerance (how many days after days due can a receipt still be flagged as On Time, etc...) and the purchaser needs to exert a little extra effort, such as making sure that the promise dates are entered for the releases, etc.... Again, they are basic measurements, but pretty good without having to customize.
BTW, they are not regular BAQ's that are provided as a product. They are actually analysis cubes, and I believe (may be wrong) that the ability to develop your own cubes is furnished as a module activation.

Also, from the SRM side, there are also the supplier ratings.

BTW, this is on V8

Carey
