Struggling with ECM Extract Text

I am trying to use Extract Text in ECM to capture all text in a batch import. I have the workflow connected to the content type and the history shows that it is running but I am getting no data in the content fields

In the workflow designer, it is a single step workflow that runs Extract Text to text fields I created called OCRtext and OCRError.

As expected, it take a couple of minutes to run but then nothing is displayed in those fields and searching for text it should have found comes up blank. Is there a step or 2 I am missing?

Nevermind I figured it out. I needed to have Extract Text populate $Text and then use Save to Field to populate the field I had created.
