We have one user that is receiving an application error upon logging on that says "Unable to find a writable directory for files of type ‘BOSecMRUList’. Has anyone seen this error before. It appears to be user profile related as I can log on to the PC as a different user and Epicor works fine. Anyknow of a fix for this. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled the client but it did not fix the issue for this particular user. It had been working fine for this user up until a couple days ago when this started occurring.
If you change the alternate client cache location on the local workstation’s .mfgsys file (to something like c:\temp\cache), and then try to log in, can the user log in?
Nathan,
Instead of changing the mfgsys, per your idea I just changed the permissions to allow write access on the C:\programdata\epicor folder for the user in question and it fixed it. No clue though as to why it just started happening though when it worked fine two days ago……Strange….Thanks for the idea!!!
