What would cause the following? I printed a stock status report for raw
material inventory on 6/13 for our month end 5/27. I printed the report at a
later date, for the same period ending (5/27), and they differ. After a
little digging, I found the following: There are purchases of raw material
that are being included on the stock status report for 5/27 even though in
part tracker the transaction date and system date are both during June.
There are material issues during June that are not being reflected on the
5/27 stock status report (as one would expect), but for some reason the
material purchase is being back dated and being included in the prior period
as far as the stock status report is concerned. On the parts in question,
the running balance in part tracker differs from what is printed on the
stock status report. Thanks,

James,

Is it just the dollar values that are off or is it the quantities as well?
I think that if you buy something to stock after your ending date, and the
price has changed, the stock status will use the current price. We've
always tried to run the stock status as close as possible to the period
ending date. We're on 6.10.529 if that helps.
