I just ran across this link from the US Chamber of Commerce that broke down and analyzed the stimulus package for small businesses over the weekend.
It appears to be a pretty amazing piece of legislation (I never thought I’d say that) for small businesses
Anyways forward this to your boss, employer, friend etc.
In summary it appears that if you abide by certain rules (don’t lay people off) small businesses can borrow 2.5 X their average payroll to pay for payroll and other expenses and those loans would be completely forgiven.
This could help keep everyone employed at 100% of their regular wages and keep the impact on the business to a bare minimum. It isn’t perfect and no I"m not trying to discuss the politics of it, just sharing what I found.
