I want to use a starting order number of 3100000 (3.1 million). Company Config doesn’t let me enter more than 6 digits (a max of 999999). I tried using a UBAQ instead thinking that it may just be logic on the input… but that didn’t work. The business logic is baked into Epicor. Any idea for a workaround?
Have you tried changing the length allowed? Not sure if you can, but that is what I would try in Test.
Here’s the solution. Go to Extended Properties. Open XaSyst table. Find StartOrderNum. Change the format to >>>>>>9, It has one extra > than the default. Now it will let you enter a larger number. Obviously, if you need an even larger number, enter more >
And make sure you’re doing this in Test before you get all carried away.
I want to give you the credit for the solution but I want the information in my post to show up to anyone looking for the answer. That’s exactly what I had to do.
No worries at all!! You answered your own question before I did, happens a lot. Yes, we want people to get to the answer faster, so you should mark yours.
You were Johnny on the spot, though… hey-o!
