I have a request, maybe there is someone who would like to create a demo video that contains the steps to create a sub-report in the cloud client SSRS report? If it doesn’t appear, maybe you can point to the documentation where the steps for this are clearly described. I’m stuck in one place and I can’t figure out how to do it. With a simple report, copying, redoing, everything is clear, but with a sub-report, nothing is obtained
We’re “On-Prem” but here’s what I typically do:
1- Create the .RDL file on the server for the sub report
2- In the main report .RDL file, insert the Sub Report
3- Still in the main report .RDL file, subreport properties, set the parameters needed to be passed from the main report to the subreport
4- Open the subreport .RDL and setup the parameters passed from the main report
5- In the subreport dataset properties, map the parameters
6- In the subreport dataset query, add the parameters wherever needed
