SQL Server 2017 now ok for 10.2.300?

Hi guys,

We’ll be setting up our new server for 10.2.300 environment, so it’s a perfect opportunity to get on current operating systems.

The Hardware Sizing Guide dated April 2018 shows that MS SQL 2017 is recommended, but our CAM said she checked with the hardware group last month, who told her that MS SQL 2017 is not yet certified, and we should use 2016.

What do you guys suggest? @erikj @aidacra

PS - It’d be great if the hardware sizing guide (and other documents) had a revision history page or at least a version shown in the document. We’ve got a handful of them saved with generic file names, and I do a file-compare in Adobe to see which one is the latest… Thanks guys!

We’ve just moved to 10.2.200 and upgraded to SQL Server2017 at the same time. Opinions seemed to differ, but Epicor came down on it being OK in the end.

SQL 2017 is certified and is what I would use today if I was purchasing a new version of SQL.
