Splitting the current fiscal period

Due to the sale of the company, we are needing to “split” the current fiscal period for December into different periods. We need the current period to end on 12/21/17 and the rest of the month (12/22/17 - 12/31/17) to be in a separate period.

Anyone have any thoughts at all of how this can be accomplished. Trying to get some information from Epicor Support as well, but we just don’t seem to be getting anywhere, especially since this is happening so quick!

Hope your GL is set currently for 12 periods.
Change to 13 periods… defining the dates accordingly.

Have done it a few times…
Obviously, do so in TEST FIRST !
