Split operation and Unattended Operation

Do Not set the resource/Resource Groups to Burden = Labor. As long as this setting is not active, you will get the behavior you want.

Burden = Labor should only be set if the resource cannot run without the labor element. Such as Assembly, manual Lathe or Drill Press.

Subject: [Vantage] Split operation and Unattended Operation

  <div><p class="ygrps-yiv-1597277229ecxMsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10pt;">I have

2 machines that are going to be run by 1 employee. I want labor hours split
evenly in half (say 4 and 4) and for both machines to get full burden hours
(say 8 and 8) what is the best setup in Vantage for this?

Also I have one machine
that an employee starts the operation on it and then works on another machine
for the rest of his shift until the end where he goes back to the first machine
and stops the operation. The employee I do not need labor for but I need burden
hours on the machine for the full day. We thought about a phantom user that
could log in to the machine and that user can have a labor rate of .01. Another
way we thought was creating an operation that was just for that machine and did
not report labor hours for the user but would report burden hour for the
machine. Any suggestion on this one also?

Any suggestions will be
appreciated.
