Specific part numbers not pegging existing warehouse stock during MLP process

Currently running v 10.2.300.10
Currently have 2 part numbers out of 5000+ part numbers that will not peg the existing stock. These are TYPE: Manufactured parts. When side by side comparisons are done on the part records of manufactured parts that peg correctly and the 2 that do not, there is no identifiable difference in setup. (all tabs checked and compared within Part record).

Has anybody encountered this and found where the solution lies?

thanks
Doug

Make sure that the part plant record is not set as NonStock and make sure that the part isnt set up as pull as assembly on the BOM . this setting makes the part a Sub-Assembly on the job and wont drive demand from stock inventory

Yeap, checked both items – both are NOT set as non-stock, or pull as assembly. thanks for the check though.

Anybody else have any suggestions ?- this issue is a real thorn in our Line of Balance calculations.

FOUND THE ISSUE
the particular parts had some very aged forecast (had already fell off reports, etc.) that was consuming the stock, leaving the remaining job content to be the only supply. Once that aged forecast was removed, pegging to the current job demand was what one would expect. Stock pegged first, then job content after that.
