We have long runs between refreshing Dev environments. A lot of work gets done, then it stagnates when the requestors show little interest in following through with testing. In any event, I made a comprehensive solution workbench with all the Deltas I identified with a query between Dev and Production. After exporting the solution with an accompanying “contents” doc I refreshed Dev from Prod. The issue is, I want a single Data Directive from the solution. Is there a way to import/extract just 1 part of the solution or do I need the whole thing?
All or nothing.
The solution creates a CAB (cabinet file) - standard Microsoft format (basically a Zip file).
Drill into the Solution CAB file, find you DataDirective and “Extract” it. That should work.

I’ve tried to do this in the past and it never went well. Not to say they shouldn’t try, but that’s why I didn’t recommend it.
