And that’s precisely why we went with Epicor’s PLM solution over SW’s PDM. Epicor’s PLM (Pro.FILE) is slick whereas SW’s PDM solution was horribly integrated; and that’s being polite.
If you are heavy in Solidworks and wish to have seamless integration moving forward, give Epicor’s PLM some thought. Solidworks’ PDM is a great product, don’t get me wrong. But if you want enterprise integration and if you are an Epicor customer, then Epicor PLM should be your choice. I’ve been down your road twice. Good luck with SW PDM.

Subject: [Vantage] Solidworks Enterprise PDM
Is anyone using Solidworks Enterprise PDM for their document management system? I have a question how do you attach your drawings for parts to the Part Number in Epicor. Right now we are using the File System way but were running in to issue with not have the most current PDF file out their.
