Smerrlog.dll error

What will make you even happier is to know that it has a chance to happen
again. I have had to run this procedure to only find out that three month
later it will happen again.

It's really random.

To my knowledge the crystal runtime is a hacked version that epicor has done
work on in house to make it perform as they wish. That dll has to be
referenced somewhere.

Thanks, it's good to know I'm not the only one, but what an ugly
solution. Especially since I can't find that .dll on any machines on
my network to begin with.

Hi,

I have a workstation that sometimes gets the following error message
when printing in Vista 8.03.407

"MfgSys.exe - Unable to Locate Component This application has failed
to start because smerrlog.dll was not found. Re-installing the
application may fix this problem."

Clicking "OK" allows the printing to complete. I searched another
workstation and the server's Epicor directory for "smerrlog.dll" and
didn't find the file.

Does anyone have a fix or know about this error. Is this maybe a virus
problem?

Thanks,

Dave

According to google search, It is a Crystal dll and should be in
\windows\system32 directory

Hi everyone,

I am still way back here on vantage 5.2. I have a question regarding
programming on VB forms.

We have two 'Drop-down' text fields on a VB form. We would like the
second field to be required to be filled in, depending on the value of
field 1. I am not sure if this even possible, I have done very little
with VB forms other than to add fields for data storage.

Does anybody know if this is possible and if so, any advice for getting
started? I am experienced with Visual Basic programming and if I was
using MS access would know how to do this, but am not sure where to
start in Progress VB Forms?

Any advice / feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Sarah

I've had this error and the only way I have found to fix it is to uninstall
crystal runtime. Go through and delete all the leftovers that the uninstall
leaves behind and then reinstall run time.
