Shipping Labels - Where do I start?

What sort of labels? We print many flavors of customized packaging labels for customers' requests on a Zebra Z4M printer. At moment printing from Report Builder but Crystal is certainly a viable alternative. We treat the label printer like a laser printer but with small (4"x6") paper. Label options are Direct Thermal (heat changed paper color) or Thermal Transfer (melts plastic onto paper). DT is cheaper (no ribbon) but vulnerable to heat/wet if the labels are exposed to weather.

label printing and how to get at it. Tech support has no answers and I
have been placed in a "resolution" que for further assistance.
Has anyone delt with this matter recently and wuld like to share there
feedback?
