Service Connect Workflow Question

Thanks for all of the help on this one everybody. I eventually found a
way to make it work but it wasn't by using any trickery in SC. I just
talked to the configurator programmer and she was willing to change all
of the JOBDONE operation sequences to the same number... I should have
talked to her a while ago.

Blake, I'm not totally clear on what you need because I do no have
access to the web service you are referring to ...

however, if you need to set a value in the request to the last
OperSeqNum then your xslt would look something like ...
value-of select="OperSeqNum[last()] ...

if the last seq num is not the highest num ... then you will need to
sort them and then get the last ....

hope that helps ...

All,

I am working on a SC workflow and ran into a problem. I am trying to

Blake,

I have not used it yet, but possibly the min/max functoids (mathematical
tab) can help here?

Hi Blake,
Setting the Sequence number to 0 (Zero) would force the Business logic to choose the next available Sequence number. Not sure if this is what you were asking, so let me know if i understand your question correctly.

Ahmed,

I need to choose the OprSeq number that is at the end of all the OprSeq
numbers. Problem is that it isn't always the same number but it is
always the last number. I don't think setting OprSeq to 0 then allowing
the business logic to choose the next sequence number would help me.
That would give me the first OprSeq number in the list, not the last.
If I could reverse that then I would be in business.

Jose,

I don't think using the line number would help. I'm doing the labor
entry process for a single job. I'm hoping for some sort of functoid
that I set on the OprSeq field that I can use as a filter. Something
like "OprSeq = last number in sequence". If I could set that on JobDtl
then I think it would work. But since the explinations of functoids are
so detailed I wouldn't know how to do this.

Blake,

How about the Round functoid...you could jack a number way the hell up
there, some integer value you know you never would achieve with normal
operation sequence values and then compare the operational sequence
values from your assembly query and it should return an integer value
closest to...maybe?

Hi there! If I understand you correctly ....

you are trying to get to the last OprSeq number ...

I would use the last() function ...
http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2002/08/07/ducharme.html

you might have to change the xslt and see how the designer actually does it .... but this should work for you ....

Best wishes,
Cathlene
Ok scratch that last suggestion...I played with it a bit, and like you
said, the over abundance of information with functiods lead me to the
wrong conclusion. You guys wouldn't happen to take advantage of the
final operation check box would you? It's a field on the jobassmbly
table when you check the box on a particular operation in an assembly as
the final operation it actually takes the operseq number and puts it in
this field called finalopr on the jobassmbly table, you could then just
set a condition to pass anything that did not equal zero..the only
caveat is it might mean a chunk of work to update existing routes if
you're not already using it. Simply to set when making new MOM's going
forward.

Subject: RE: [Vantage] Service Connect Workflow Question

Jose,

I don't think using the line number would help. I'm doing the labor
entry process for a single job. I'm hoping for some sort of functoid
that I set on the OprSeq field that I can use as a filter. Something
like "OprSeq = last number in sequence". If I could set that on JobDtl
then I think it would work. But since the explinations of functoids are
so detailed I wouldn't know how to do this.

Thanks,

Can't you use the line number? There is a functoid that gives you the
next
record number or somehing like that. their explinations of the funtiods
are
retarded but look in there.

Rethinking that you would set a condition element where the finaloper
field equals the operseq field from the joboper table...

Simply to set when making new MOM's going
forward.

Rob,

Now that sounds like something I could use. I am not familiar with the
Round functiod. Can you give me an idea what the programming should
look like on it?

Blake,

How about the Round functoid...you could jack a number way the hell up
there, some integer value you know you never would achieve with normal
operation sequence values and then compare the operational sequence
values from your assembly query and it should return an integer value
closest to...maybe?

Cathlene,

This sounds like what I need to use. I've read the link you pasted below
but I can't figure out how to use the function. Do I set the OprSeq
field to [last ()] or do I set a condition on the LaborMtl field so
OprSeq = [last ()]?

Hi there! If I understand you correctly ....

you are trying to get to the last OprSeq number ...

I would use the last() function ...
http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2002/08/07/ducharme.html

you might have to change the xslt and see how the designer actually does
it .... but this should work for you ....

Best wishes,
Cathlene

Blake, I'm not totally clear on what you need because I do no have access to the web service you are referring to ...

however, if you need to set a value in the request to the last OperSeqNum then your xslt would look something like ...
value-of select="OperSeqNum[last()] ...

if the last seq num is not the highest num ... then you will need to sort them and then get the last ....

hope that helps ...

Cathlene
