On our serial tracked components, I am finding quite a few that are showing as WIP even though they have been shipped. Am I safe to just override WIP to Shipped or is that indicative that something isn’t right somewhere? Is there a trouble-shooting guide for this? 
As a follow up, we have a bunch of serialized parts that inadvertently ended up with multiple serial numbers assigned to the same job, same order, or varying serial numbers between job and shipment, etc. Most of it appears to be attributed to our implementation cutover and finished goods that were in stock before we went live.
My question: Can I safely delete those serial numbers? Should I un-assign them to the job? Change their status? Again, it’s more of a “best practices” kind of question. I went to override the SN Status field and it gives me a warning so I backed off until I get a better handle on what the best way to handle it is.
