Search customization

I must be missing something. I have a UD02 table and have created a
BAQ for it and put everything in the like column. I then create a
quick search, but the quick search only returns a single column and
not the whole record. Also, the BAQ is not available in the Named,
Quick Search, or BAQ section of the Search Form.

Are the Search forms customizable within the UD forms, and if so, how
can they be accessed? I've customized the UD01 form and am only using 2
fields from the UD01 table, but the Search form displays every field
from the UD01 table using the default field names as headings.
Any help in pointing me in the right direction is much appreciated.

You cannot customize the search forms. The best way to handle this is
to create a BAQ over the UD table and then create a Quick Search using
that BAQ and then make the Quick Search the default for all searches on
that table. Works great!

It does work great. Thanks.

Write a BAQ to present the layout, column header titles & any limiting criteria desired for your search. Make sure to set up all the visible fields as search accessible 'like' columns.
Â
Then, for your UD form search, just create a more intuitively named "Named Search" that uses your BAQ. You can make it the default search for that form if you desire.
