Does anyone know the best way to scrap an individual component of an assembly on a job? We have parts that have about 6 materials that go into them and sometimes if an assembly is bad we don’t have to scrap the entire part. We can dismantle and only scrap 2 of the materials. Going through time and expense entry we seem to only be able to scrap the entire assembly part. Anyone else run into this predicament?
I quickly found that creating a nonconformance of job material and then sending it to inspection processing is probably the best way.
