We use a shareware product called Ground Control (see egroups Misc category: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vantage/files/_Misc/gc.zip to download). It is a Macro program that we use to do nightly exports from Vantage for use in Access and Crystal reports.
You could really use it for any function in Vantage. WE have also used it to uncheck the "PO Suggestions" box on 6000 parts, for instance.
You would use your task scheduler in Win98 or NT (or download a free one for Win95) to run the macro each night.

Subject: [Vantage] Scheduling a Vantage process to run automatically
I thought I saw something posted on this subject in the past
but I can't seem to pull anything up in the search.
What I need to know is if there is a way to schedule a Vantage
process (generate PO suggestions in particular) to run every
morning at 3:00AM - or better yet, run only on Monday through
Friday, without requiring human initiation????
If it is possible, where is it setup at - in Windows, Progress
or Vantage???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
