I’m only posting this in an attempt to help somebody down the road… This is not a bug…
After a week of chasing down the issue with our Sales Managers being unable to see the Salespeople’s pipelines & related quotas, I finally figured this out… there is no internal information in the Online Help or the CRM User Guide (2024.1) that addresses the entirety of the chain-of-things-need-to-be-checked-to-make-it-work.
In order for somebody to view the pipelines of the sales force (and quota progress) the manager has to be able to “view the company pipeline” (which we figured), but here is what we missed:
The person to whom the pipeline you would like to view has to be marked in “Work Force” (Sic) as reporting to the person viewing the individual pipelines… (only one can be chosen). This is accomplished in “Work Force” by going to the salesperson’s entry and choosing the manager/user from the “Reports To” drop-down field. Once this is “connected” the managers can view the individual Quotas and Pipelines by selecting any of the people marked as reporting to them in the Salesperson Pipeline Screen.
Of course, you also need to set Quotas in the SalesPerson Quota Screen if you are using them.
