Sales Order Pick List

Yeah, you need to reserve or allocate in order to release for picking. It
will ask you if you want to print a pick sheet. I would recommend that you
play around with it a little in a test environment to see what works best
for you. We are not currently using this process, we just print sales
order pick sheets and pack out. We changed the form quite a bit though.

I was thinking something like that maybe i just dont understand it to well
but if I go to fulfillmentWB and order Fulfillment Tab choose 100%
fulfillment do i run reserve and release for picking or just release for
picking? Or do i print pick tickets under action (grayed out)

We are going live August 28th and in our simulations and testing we
have decided to use the Sales Order Pick List report to trigger our
Shipping department on what needs to be pick (either from a job or
inventory) for shipping that day.

Our plan was to have the Shipping Manager run the Pick List with
Dynamic dates of From: Today, To: Today. Then he has all the shipments
scheduled to be picked for shipments

Unfortunatly we can see various scenarios where a Pick List (ticket)
could be printed multiple times with the possibilty of it being picked
for shipment. For example, we sell product to retail store and during
our busy season and the shipping department starts picking it from
inventory days before it is scheduled to be shipped otherwise they
would never get it done on the actual shipment day. So the Shipping
Manager prints the Pick Ticket for a particular order and then the day
comes when it truely is suppose to ship and lo and behold the Picking
Ticket gets printed again. Now the Shipping Maanager should be abel to
manually pull it out but what if he is not here and someone else prints
the Picking Tickets.

I know that when an order ships that marking it Shipping in Shipment
Entry will remove it from the Pick List and that the Shipment Schedule
report will give us some heads up to what is coming down the line.

So I have two questions.

1. Has anyone identified a way to only print Sales Order Pick Tickets
that have not already been printed. This way Picking Tickets, as a
standard procedure only get printed once.

2. I also want to add a field onto the Picking Ticket that, in big bold
lettering, shows the customer is on credit hold so the shipping person
never even pick the order. I tried to tie the Customer Master table

Thank foar any help

Hi Scott,

I have customized V8 to ensure pick notes are only printed once.
Basically it works by having a print button on the So Pick list form which
marks each release on the orders indicating it has been printed. It does
this after the pick list is printed. Then within customer shipment entry it
handles part shipments of a release and part shipments of order lines to
ensure they will get picked again.

There is also a manual over ride by going into the order release and
un-ticking an added printed tick box.

The second question can also be done.

Email me if you are interested and I can provide you with more information.

Stephen Edginton

We will have a similar issue. We ship most orders the same day, so
printing today's orders will not work. We need to flag orders that
have been printed so we only print orders not yet printed. Also, if
we get an add-on or change to an order we need to communicate that
to shipping with replacement picklists.

Has anyone else solved this problem?

Dan,

The customization we have done will handle orders on the same
day as we mark the order releases, see my previous post.

To answer question #1 (I checked to make sure it worked in 6.0 and it does),
when you create a customer shipper, in the header area it allows you to
change the shipment date. You can postdate it to the date that you want it
to ship. What happens with this is that once it is declared shipped it will
not longer be on your sales pick list, which is good for not duplicating
orders, but it can leave open the door for forgetting to actually ship the
order when that actual ship date comes unless you have a staging area of
daily shipments.

For some reason, when we pick the sales order pick list the required quantity is zero. I've checked the sales order release and the quantity is correct and the release is open.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jasper

Just a SWAG, is the part set as Non-Stock?

Mark W.
It will read zero if a packing slip has already been created for that
release that has not been shipped

Try 'pending shipments' filter in the customer entry search screen

What version are you on? we had this issue before when we were on 805 ; system was not closing the release after shipments and that release wud come up on pick list with 0 qty. We had to manually close the release; we had generated a crystal report to identify these cases .

we are on 809 now and that seems to be have taken care off Vishal

One thing to check that Support will definitely have you verify is that you have the correct versions of the DLL files. See the segment taken below from 2353MPS.

If you still have problems with Crystal forms dropping data even with the appropriate patch as stated above, do a search on the problem workstation for: msvcp60.dll and p2bxbse.dll. Check the version of each of these files and compare it to the version of the files in the eMFG\dll folder or \MfgSys60\dll or \mfgsys61\dll folder. If the versions differ, rename the files on the workstation and copy the files from the eMFG\dll folder or \MfgSys60\dll or \mfgsys61\dll folder.
It may be necessary delete the contents of the local working directory. For 6.00, that is the C:\epicor\mfgwk60 folder. For 6.10, that is the C:\epicor\mfgwrk61 folder.

Does anyone have a code written that will change the ToDate on the Sales Order Pick List to show up as 30 days ahead of the system date default?

We are trying to set the report so when it opens up the To date is set to 30 days ahead of "today's" date.

We have a button set up on the Sales Order Form to launch the form from there. Is there anyway to have the Report automatically filter in the search for the Sales Order that is open when the button is activated?

Thank You

Hi Gene,

Regarding the date question, I just generated and tested this. It should
work.

Paste this code before your last line of code in the script editor in the SO
Pick List dialog box.
'-------------------------------
Private Sub SOPickListForm_Load(ByVal sender As object, ByVal args
As EventArgs) Handles SOPickListForm.Load
'//
'// Add Event Handler Code
'//

Dim edvToDate As EpiDataView =
CType(oTrans.EpiDataViews("ReportParam"), EpiDataView)
edvToDate.dataView(edvToDate.Row)("ToDate") =
DateAdd(DateInterval.Day, +30, DateValue(Today))

End Sub
'-------------------------------

Hope this helps,
Ross

I have a question on Using Sales Order Pick List and wondering how others use it or am I missing something. We are a relative small company and our shipper picks the items. Right now they tell us to run the sales order pick list but the issue with that is that report shows everything that's need to ship regardless of if inventory is in or not. We can have the shipper wasting his time trying to pick things that aren't here. So my question is are we running the wrong report or missing a step somewhere like fulfillment work bench.
Why would they try to pick something that isn't there? Doesn't it show
your inventory? Is your inventory not accurate?

Out of the box I don't believe the standard report displays information about on-hand quantity. You'll probably need to modify the report to show items in stock. I remember having to do that with ours sometime ago...

If you send it through reservation / allocation & the picking process in
the fulfillment WB there is a different form that you can print from
there.
