Sales Order Credit Holds and New PO suggestions

I have noticed that purchase suggestions are not being generate when MRP and Generate suggestions run. Each run on schedule through out the week. Im trying to understand why MRP/Generate suggestions does not create a suggestions. The only thing I notice is that the sales order is on hold. Firm release box is checked, Part master is correct with buyer/leadtime etc. The Sales Order header does not have any dates but dates are at the release level. Need by and Ship by date are populated and reflect on the time phase. We did add a date field of commit date at the release level entered but it is currently blank. I have also check change suggestions becuase we have days of supply to be set at 30 days. any thoughts on what might be missing?

Jared,

If I am reading your post correctly, you are not seeing PO Suggestions for Orders on credit hold. This is by design. You should also not be able to manually create Purchase Orders for orders on credit hold if using buy to order.

Bryan,
I understand for Buy to Order suggestions that are on credit hold will prevent a PO from being created. does that also apply to sales orders that are on credit hold but not marked as BTO?

Thanks
