Sales Commission Dashboard/BAQ

Hi Mark,

Look just to the left of the table name in the Selected Tables section of the phrase builder. You will see a checkbox. If you click on this checkbox then you can add the table without seeing all the details. You then have to create a calculated field something like:

Total(InvcTax.TaxAmount) (I didn’t look up the actual field name so may be incorrect)

This will give you the total of the tax amount for all the lines on the invoice.

Regards,

Linda

Hi Mark,

There is an invoice tax table InvcTax that will give you the tax amount for each line. You could attach it to your query and click Summarize. Then you could create a calculated field for the total tax amount.

Does anyone have a dashboard that shows the invchead with subtotal and taxes displayed separately? I'm trying to create a sales commission dashboard that shows the subtotal of the lines before taxes, the tax amount, and then certain misc charges. Invoice tracker shows there is an invchead.dspsubtota l but it looks like it is pulling from either a temp table or a hidden table

Yeah, I ended up creating the dashboard based on the invoice detail and not using the invchead (although there is no invoice date on the lines which is a shame) and that way I just totaled up the line quantities and price to get the line totals without the tax. I had to do it that way because I had to bring in certain line misc charges as well (reps only get paid based on certain misc charge codes)
Â
Arent commission reports fun?!

Good Day Mark:

In BAQ, can't you add the Invhead file, link it to the Invdetail
file, get the Date?

I have just gone through the on-line training for BAQ, so it is a
question, not a suggestion.
Is BAQ good enough to have the needed link of Invdet to invhead,
since there are multiple details for each header; thus, Invdet would
have to have the inv-number as a field?

Sun Is on M2K (Informix) but,
Going to: Epicor 9, 9.04.505B ( maybe 9.05), SQL (go live date is
8/1/10 ? )

PS: My spell checker indicates that "invhead" should be changed to
"pinhead" - must be an O'Reilly fan.

Yes exactly, thats what I did to get the invoice date (set your table relation to first instead of each invchead) otherwise you will get a header record for each detail line
Â
Yes, invoice number is on the invcDtl table as well so the only reason for bringing in the invchead table is to get the invoice date
