I would like to start reporting rework through MES, but I have found that you cannot report rework on a serialized item for a previous operation that is already complete. Any ideas around this?
Maybe rework does not work how I think it should…?
This may be because the operation requires that a serial number be assigned when that operation is complete… I have never tried this…
One possible option would be to add a NEW operation to the job right after this option… call it rework, and don’t put any time on that operation. Then instruct the operator to charge their rework to that new operation?
I dont know… may work.
