Revision Control in Engineering Workbench (V6.1)

Now I see it. I can get details from a previous revision, but only
sometimes. The problem seems to be with parts that were loaded with
the data conversion tool. I think that I need to go looking for a
database glitch.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I must be missing a crucial point.

Vantage is structured to allow multiple revisions per part. The BOM
is attached to the Revision not directly to the part. Great; this
should allow storing and tracking the revision history of a part's BOM.

However when I add a new revision to a part it has no BOM attached.
Oh well, Check It Out and try to Get Details from the previous
revision in engineering workbench. No! Vantage won't give you the
option to get details from the same part number. Surely not? If you
want to create a new revision wouldn't you want to start with the old
revision and its BOM and modify it? Am I missing a basic step or a
piece of logic?

I also note that while Vantage allows multiple revisions to a part,
the parts in the BOM are all at their latest revision regardless of
the revision of the part that was originally added.
