Residential delivery

A few weeks back I used the DMT to uncheck the checkbox for residential delivery. Today I have 4 customers totaling 700 orders with the checkbox being checked. These are only in the orders and not in the customer record. So, does Epicor look at an address and say if its residential or not and just auto check it, or is more likely someone is checking the box? I’m voting for part 2, but I want to make sure.

If I were you, I would set up logging on the checkbox so you can see when and by who the field was changed. (see the help files for help on set up if you don’t know how)

I don’t know whether epicor is doing anything automatically.

My 2 cents.

@Banderson Yeah, that’s what I was going to do as well. I just wanted to ask to make sure I wasn’t missing anything else.

@Banderson I was thinking I could use the Change log to monitor this box. And help says to sue the BPM to do so. However, when tracing the object, there is nothing. Any ideas, or am I looking at the wrong help item?

It’s a data directive, so it’s looking at the table. If you use field help on the check box in question does it tell you what table it’s in?

I just checked, the box for ResDelivery is in the OrderHed table. So you need to do a data directive on that table, and enable it for that field.

Change log is already enabled on the OrderHed, so do I have to specify the residential delivery box specifically?

Ok, I found it. But it is already checked. HMM, that not good.

There are two places in the customer record that has this checkbox, one under Integrations > Manifest Info > General and the other under Ship To > Manifest Info > General. Have you checked both spots in the Customer to see if either checkbox is checked?? @Will79

I’m assuming you know where to see the change log right?

@Banderson I got the resdelivery change log working. @Beth I had no idea to look at the integrations part. So, I will work on removing those. But Ia m assuming that with that box checked in integrations if we add a new customer or order it automatically do the residential delivery, correct?

But I am watching the change log now like a hawk.

If you have it checked, it should pull it through to the sales order. I would make sure that both areas are unchecked if you don’t want residential delivery.

Thanks! that was the piece I’ve been looking for. Already took it all out so, just a wait and see thing now. Thanks again for the info!

Happy to help! Would you mark the answer as resolved? Thanks!
