Reschedule JOBs with Labor Transactions

Are you allowed to reschedule a JOB to a later date once a labor transaction has taken place? If yes, how? In my situation, a simple reschedule of the JOB does change the start date. In our situation, we learned we have a missing component after we started the JOB. The JOB is paused for another month. We want the new start date to be pushed out but my rescheduling efforts are not working.

You can set the system to Global Reschedule Started Operations (in Company config), but that will do it for everything the next time you run Global Scheduling.

Alternatively, you could try setting Override Scheduling Constraints to true in Site Maintenance and then manually move the job on a board.

@Ukwildcat98 What have you tried? In Job Entry change the due date and then actions schedule should reschedule without any issue. If that does not work then what is the message?

Greg, I am not getting a message. I changed the Required by date and reschedule backwards but my start date does not change. I tried to reschedule forwards but my start date still does not change. Could it be that a partial JOB Receipt to Inventory has already happened? I am trying to reschedule the balance of a JOB out 2 months when the missing material arrives.

Did you try to manually change the start date when rescheduling?

To my knowledge there is nothing that prevents us from rescheduling. We have a few partially completed jobs that are hold for more than 6 months waiting for a part redesign and they just keep moving them out.

Uncheck released and engineered and try actions remove from schedule. That should clear the start and final op fields. Then recheck them reset the due date and schedule.

You should see the dates on the operations change and you can right click and open the job scheduling board to see how the job lays out
