Bart:
We've been using requisitions for a couple of months now...the set up part
of it is really important...for example, I used 01, 02, 03 in the
descriptions of the actions so that they would fall in the order they needed
to be seen. Otherwise, it seems to work pretty well. Best part is having a
record of who asked for what and why.
It isn't really for parts that are in the part master.
Our buyers haven't had any problems changing the po's though, so there may
be something in the buyer set-up that you need to double-check.
Tech support sent me a detailed document about reqs, but I don't know if I
still have it. I'll look and see.

Yes you can create PO's from the approved requisition. Upon approval they
move to the purchasing queue. You do not need to Generate Suggestions to
see them. There are some weak points. There is very little ability to
edit the suggestion when it reaches the purchasing queue. So if
description (or whatever is entered into the part number field) is
inaccurate or incorrect you have to live with it. So you can send out
PO's that don't look very 'professional'. The people in our organization
who use the req's aren't very good spellers!

Subject: [Vantage] Requisitions
Is anyone using requisitions in version 5.1. The purchasing people
are asking about starting to use them and would like to know if they can
create PO's directly from the requisitions. I looked over the help for
requisitions, but didn't see anything like that. If anyone has any
experience with requisitions that they would be willing to share, it would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
