Required field - not working yet

Hey

We have a custom textbox on the Quote form that is bound to QuoteDtl.ProjectID. There is a button allowing the user to select a project to get the project number. I need this field to be a required field for any new quotes so i went to Extended Properties on the QuoteDtl table set the ProjectID required checkbox to true, saved and closed then restarted Epicor test. Itsa nor stopping the quote save even though its nor a required field so, is there anything else i need to do for this to work?
