Report to show long inventory has been sitting

Hi All,

E9.05.702A

I thought I would ask before trying to create a new report.

Is there a report, that I’m missing, that will show how long an on hand quantity has been sitting on the shelf? Meaning, the time between when the PartBin record was created and today?

I didn’t see one.
I checked out the slow moving report but that looks at part lot as a whole, meaning the sum of the PartBin records, as opposed to the individual PartBin records.

Unless you put in a BPM or something out of the box, you will have to rely
on the parttran table to see the last date of the transaction. So if a part
last moved in and out of a bin, it may have been a stk-stk transaction,
which you may not consider as “last used” because it was simply a bin
transfer. You may need to look at the last time a part went from stk-mtl
or, pur-stk as the last time you purchased the material. If you Lot track
items it helps a bit in terms of aging for specific items but otherwise
parttran is the transaction date for last used
