oops, sorry about that garbled stuff on bottom...Its the gridview of what my proposed dashboard looks like comparing a system RDD of PackSlip to a Modified of PackSlip where I added SNTran table and added some fields to OrderDtl.
When I get that dashboard written I will put it out on site.

Wow, I am sooo glad I brought up this discussion. This is great. Is this general knowledge? I didn't even know this existed? Where has this been? I have always re-created the definition in Live....ugh? When you say you "imported" it? ok for SQL for Progress? So once the definition is there is it useable by a modified crystal report that uses it. i.e. I have modified the RDD for PackList that includes other fields, other tables, addl criteria,et. I'm a little leary....
Why wouldn't this just be a command within the RDD??? Actions Export.
So now my real question hasn't been answered...Once I have my RDDs how has everyone kept track of the changed RDD compared to the System RDD. So what I was thinking is creating a dashboard that compares the two...
i.e. RDD PackSlip to Modified Packslip1.

Thanks, Jim! I'll have to play with it next week. Almost beer thirty

I just downloaded the referenced report and got it to work. The
connection string wants three things:
Data Source=<Your Vantage Server Name>;
Initial Catalog=<Your Database Name: MfgSys803, MfgTrain803, etc>;
Trusted_Connection=True
I found a definition I had on one database that wasn't in the other,
exported it, then imported it into the other system. Worked like a
charm! Where was this during my last upgrade!

Jim Pratt

ODBC source and the string we use didn't work. I got distracted with
other things and never made it back to look at it further. Have you
looked into it?
