This is a space issue and I can understand why the techs at Epicor increase or change the settings. The problem is usually do to setup and the defaults associated with it. In order to rid your self of the problem you need to increase the table size. If you are not familiar on how to do this PLEASE call support and have them do this for you.
Â
Understand that this is a problem that occurs in many Database programs. I have incountered it in SAP, Oracle, SQL and Progress. SOmetimes the settings can be tricky and may need to be played with to find the right size.

Thanks All. I was doing it wrong. I selected "new report"
then "duplicate of". Didn't see the other selection from the actions
menu. Works fine now.

Thanks again.

I'm trying to create a duplicate of the Stock Status report in Vantage
803.405a so I can add the bin location to the report. I created a new
report data definition as a duplicate of the original stock status
report but none of the tables, calculated fields etc. show up in the
new report. Shouldn't this new report be an exact duplicate of the
original Stock Status report? Am I missing something here?
Dave, I made a duplicate of the StkStatus RDD called StkStat2, and I
see all 6 tables included in my new definition: Company, Part,
PartClass, Plant, StkActivity, and StkPart.

Are you saying that your duplicated definition doesn't have any tables
in it?

As long as you used the "Duplicate Report" command from the Actions
menu, you did it correctly.

Yes, it should be an exact copy.

I'm on 8.03.404 and we've duplicated the Stock Status report a couple
of times and added fields and tables to the copy with no problem.

However, if you instead tried to "Create New" instead of using the
Duplicate Command, that would be your problem. I believe that you
need some "add-in" development software from Epicor in order to
Create New Report Data Definitions from scratch.

Is Stock Status the only Report Data Definition which has failed to
duplicate properly for you?

Lynn

That's true, you need to DUPLICATE this report rather than RECREATE it
table-by-table yourself. There's a bunch of calculated fields that we
cannot create or modify.
