Sandy,
On vantage 4.0 we could export to a generic text printer we set up
in control panel/printers. When we went to 6.1 and office 2000 exports
started to shift lines off and page breaks shifted lines. We puchase a
text driver called STG Text printer for about 100 bucks and let us
do exports w/o lines shifting left or right. You have to click off the
print preview and select the stg printer and then type in the
drive/path/filename. This works for the reports off the regular menu
trees, haven't tried it from the custom report link.

Last July Lonnie Drew, here in the group, helped me very greatly with a .W progress routine to fire off a Report Builder report in Export mode and run it from the menus. Very handy. I would forward the offlist emails but hesitate to presume on someone else's work and such without permission, especially when I can't really backup it up with any support and can't really commit Lonnie's help. If you don't have the email address from an old post I can forward it off-list.

Or....Lonnie if you're reading posts just give me the OK to forward the posts. I've cloned the routine off and used it for several exports...so thanks again!
