Start with looking a cool newer stuff like Voice over IP from Cisco.
Next decide how high you want to jump. Like a T1 line, DID and automated
attendant, etc...
Look into the E911 legislation for your area and make sure you address those
needs as well.
Then look for vendors and installations in your area that work. (Site visit,
Site Visit, etc...)
Every local area has its own quarks, etc... you will need to find them.
We found some of the smaller scale systems didn't handle T1's that well and
some of the larger systems/vendors did not here our voice on simple issues.
Good Luck
Patrick

Subject: [Vantage] Recommendations for telephone system vendors?
We are in the process of looking at upgrading our telephone system,
voice mail, etc. We need to be able to connect to a new warehouse.
I have already received a proposal from Expanets/Lucent. I would like
to get a few more, but would like some recommendations on suppliers
vs. just going through the Yellow Pages.
