I may have asked this once before quite awhile ago but have never seen a solution for it. Vantage 6.0 (but also 5.2) on Progress 9.1d.
Some users (not all) when starting an RB report from the menus experience a very long delay in getting the filter screen to pop-up. This is not the double-click issue where on the filter screen, if double clicked on OK, the report is burried behind the Vantage screen but rather the filter not coming up sometimes for as long as two minutes. There does not seem to be a match between CPU speed of the PC and where it occurs either but it is consistantly slow on a given PC. All other Vantage functions are reasonably fast otherwise I would suspect a network car or settings issue.
We have some shipping labels that many people generate and if someone gets impatient and fires it up twice they bury one filter screen behind everything and lock up that report causing others trying to use it to bomb out of Vantage due to it being in use. Making people in the plant stand around for 2 minutes to get the filter screen is unacceptable.
Any ideas as to the cause or possible solutions? I am considering re-installing Progress client but have not tried that yet.
Thanks,
