Thanks to all that replied. I guess I was a bit short/vague on my explanation, sorry. Shirley
this formula is exactly what I was looking for. I have not tried the others to see if they too
yield the same results.

Create a calculated field called TODAY the calculated field will contain the
RB function Today().

Create a second calculated field TODAY - POrelDueDate will give Days till
due and then move to negative when past for days late.

Not exactly sure what you are asking for.
How about: IIF(DueDate > Today(),TODAY() - DueDate,0) ?
Would be more complicated if you need to exclude weekend days.

The a should be IIF(DueDate < Today(),TODAY() - DueDate,0)
due date less than today - I hit the wrong <>

First do you want to consider promise date or DueDate?
RcvHead.ReceiptDate - PromiseDt
RcvHead.ReceiptDate - PORel.DueDate
Next do you want to consider a quantity received such as 90% of the required
quantity?
ReceivedQty >= PORel.RelQty * 0.9
If you have multiple reciepts you will need to add them up then calculate.
If the quantity is less than 90% and the receipt is marked complete is that
on time then?
If the receipt forgot to get marked complete but the PO line was then
manually closed should the vendor get dinged for being late.

I ended up putting all this in to our vendor ontime logic.

IIF(PromiseDt = ?,'Yes',IIF(D1 <= 0 and B4 >= PORel.RelQty * 0.9,'Yes',
IIF(D1 <= 0 and (ReceivedComplete = Yes or OpenLine = No),'Yes','No')))
D1 = days late or early
B4 = summary of receipts

Kinda crazy but it works.
