Todd,
It is actually the windows printer name that the report is printing
to. What I have found to work, is install a printer on your machine called
"report printer" or any other name that no other user will use. Then when
the report is run from another users workstation, it will look for a printer
called "Report Printer". If it does not find this printer, it should then
ask the user which printer he/she wishes to use.

A nagging little issue about default printers has resurfaced. Some reports
(not all) for some people (again not all) will not obey the user's default
printer setting. Mostly the printing goes to wherever I was sending it when
I wrote the report. When printing without print preview they get the option
to select a printer but the one pre-selected is not their default. Again it
is the development printer. On the other hand some people have report
printed to their default printer all the time.

I did try having one person print to a selected printer and then exit from
Vantage making sure the "Save Settings on Exit" was checked but this did not
save it as the default.

If I have to I will change the reports to print to the default printer of
the most frequent user but would rather the reports obeyed the user's
setting for default printer. I've played with this issue a few times but
never before been bugged enough to "ask the experts".

Thanks,

It looks like I am not the only one struggling with this issue.
