Does anyone know if you can add an attachment to a Quote? It seems like I can only add an attachment to Orders. I try the same procedure for attaching an attachment to an order as I did to a Quote and it isn’t working.
Just click on the attachment in quote entry and attach. What are you seeing where “it isn’t working”?

When I try and attach a file the attachment management screen is greyed out and when I select ok this is the error I get.
Review the Setup in the following Screens:
- Attachment Type Maintenance
- Document Type Maintenance
- Document Type Control
Did you recently upgrade to 10.2.600?

Is your quote won? If it’s won, it won’t let you attach anything.

What does won mean?
Setting this up seems to be the issue.
It means that the quote was converted to an order. Also if the quote is checked as quoted, it locks this down too.
To troubleshoot, make a brand new quote, add a line, then see if you can add an attachment. If you can, that means that quote is farther in the process and has had something done to it that prevents changes. (like being won, or quoted) and you have to undo those things in order to attach to the quote.
FWIW, I think it’s dumb that Epicor locks down the attachments when quotes are quoted. Attachments can be so many different types of things that you should be able to add attachments even if there are other parts that cannot be changed. But alas, changing Epicor’s mind in this is generally a lot harder than just hacking around their weird rules (which is usually not easy.)
