Has anyone navigated the UPS process of Enrolling in their Paperless International Program and actually found out how to use it ?
My guesses are ;
Quick Ship will forward the docs as needed
After shipping in Epicor/QuickShip, Entering Same Info on UPS Portal to send Paperless
#1 is wishfull thinking, Support ticket said enroll on UPS, Its not their area #2 I fear once you enter on UPS Site, You will get a new Tracking Number, pretty much voiding the first one OR… UPS will be expecting 2 packages…
I will be following this thread. My EpiCare case was answered the same way (“QuickShip is not sending a request for the paperless invoice to UPS, it is set on your account in the UPS portal”).
Through EpiCare, Got these 2 KB Articles
KB0101211 - UPS carrier settings for automatic EEI filing. and
KB0121535 - UPS File EEI Requirements.
Now the Big question Best way to update all Products in QS with ECCN “EAR99”.
Will Mass Upload -Epicor( DMT) to replace Part.ECCNNumber propagate to QuickShip at time of Shipment ?
For all those watching, Stalled out on getting EEI/Paperless Commercial Invoice working with Quick Ship and UPS. Had case open with EpiCare but had to close because had to get the shipment out. Waiting for next shipment to Canada to test. …
I came across this thread and couldn’t find the KB articles referenced, so opened a support case with Epicor and UPS. UPS indicated we already had paperless invoices enabled, and Epicor said as long as that’s the case there is nothing that needs to be done or configured in Epicor. Further they said on the UPS label there should be EDI printed on the bottom right for verification it is setup correctly to use paperless invoices.
Apologies for some of the confusion, Paperless Billing and UPS EEI are 2 separate things.
I still cant get EEI to work, getting the dreaded 128270 Missing or Invalid Forms Product Export Information…
Support cant help with what is missing or wrong…
I did finally get through to UPS , Our Acct Manager and the Local International Shipments Manager. A lot of good information there.
They insist Error is on QuickShip side. This lines up with the Carrier XML files in Quickship, it never gets to a UPS reply.
There are settings that need to be in place.
In QuickShip under Setup / ShipCodes. Find ship code and edit ( Pencil icon).
Ship Code Defaults tab… Shipment Carrier Options and check UPS File EEI.
I forgot to mention, when EEI is sent to UPS, on the bottom right of the printed UPS Label, there will be " EDI " . This has been confirmed with a UPS International Account Manager.
