We have upgraded to 9.04.507A and we are running quite smoothly beside a few financial issues that's in the works still but not worse than 506.

We have been muddling through life with 9.04.506c and our IT guy claims that there are fixes for some of our bugs in 9.04.507a and/or 9.05.6xx. Here's a list looking at our case history:

Parent/Child issues on reports.
Booking details missing on some orders.
Price goes to zero on order when changing part or quantity.
Select customers placed on credit hold after billing.
Some orders on backlog report have zero dollars.
Inflated Order Credit amounts.
Memory error when printing forms containing 54KB logo.
Quantity on Hand mismatches.
Partial shipments checked as complete when shipping.
Cannot print blank inventory tags.
6.1 Tips of the Day.
Ridiculously Looooong print times for WIP-REC & Stock Status.
Server memory leak.

I am reluctant to change levels until I have INDEPENDENT assurance that we will not be trading a dog for a cat.

So, whoever has migrated to the above levels or know something about them, I would appreciate your input.

The answer of the year, I'm afraid, is to set up a test server and
check it out. That's the BEST way to get the assurance that you need.
We've been sitting on a highly patched 9.504.504B for the very same
reason. We've purchased a new server and have been practicing the
conversion process. We took this moment to review the Performance
Tuning document to changes things that couldn't be changed before (8K
blocks on the file system, move to 2008 R4 64 bit and expanded the
memory, etc.) We took the blows as beta customers for E9. Our users
(and management) are still a little sore because we seemed to have
more issues after GA than during the beta program.

We are also on 9.04.506c, and will be upgrading our server on 4/10 to a newer faster screamier Dell... and will plunge headlong into 507A at the same time.

We have not had all the problems you mention, but the ones we HAVE experienced:

Price goes to zero on order when changing part or qty
- Fixed (there was an SCR)
Quantity on Hand mismatches
- we have seen several causes for this on 506, it seems to happen with significantly less frequency on 507A (I think there were 2 SCRs)
Partial shipments marked complete when shipped
- have not had the same problem, but no SCR addressed this that I know of.
Server memory leak
- Fixed (don't know of an SCR, but the difference was obvious)
Can't print blank inventory tags
- we have not had this problem on 506C

I'm hesitant to make recommendations on print times for reports... we have some really ridiculous print times too (WIP Recon and COS/WIP Capture come to mind) and the test environment was not set up for performance testing.
