As you may know, Enhanced Quality recycles the configurator for data entry. It assumes you enter X criteria for a given product, it checks against allowed ranges from a specification set, and then pass/fails.

However, some of our clients treat the quality process similar to the manufacturing process. Instead of bringing a finished good for testing of say 6 different properties, they will bring 100 of a finished part to station one for inspection of one property, then 100 to station two for inspection of another property and so on.

The enhanced quality UI won’t support this (and is clumsy even as it stands)

Has anybody built a grid based solution to mass enter a single quality property and drop it into the tables that would normally get populated by the configurator with success?

You can add multiple Inspection Plans to an Operation. Does this not meet the needs?

But have you seen the clicks you have to go through to go into inspection, then create the sample sets, then go and enter 1 criteria, close it and move on to the next item?

It needs a grid entry

I have not tested it, but I thought that you could just create a generic inspection plan and not have to create the sample sets. I could be wrong though. I may try to test over the weekend.
