"Purchase not valid for this vendor" error in Vantage 6.1

Sorry I assumed that you discovered the problem when testing V9. I had never seen this issue when using 6.1, sorry no help there.

Thanks for letting me know, unfortunately, wrong version. But you are way farther advanced than we are. In my first sentence I mentioned we are running Vantage 6.1.525.

We are currently running on Vantage 6.1.525, trying to get to Epicor 9. However, came up with this error all of a sudden.

The error happens when exiting the release form of the PO module on any computer.

I can create a PO, select a part from the part master or create a part on the fly. I can then approve the PO. If for any reason I go into the release of the line and try to update it. I will get the error "Purchase not valid for this vendor" when trying to close the form. The only way it works is if there is a suggested vendor for that part and you have chosen that vendor for the PO.

I created a Epicor Support call on Monday. The Epicor Support technician has never seen the error before. They suggested to reboot the server, which I tried with no prevail.

Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this.
