Production Calendar - DMT for Non Production Days

Anyone else out there manually updating multiple production calendars for non-productive days because your holiday calendars came out for next year… even though you own the DMT?

Kinetic idea is out there, let’s get votes so there’s hope we can use it next year

Someone else created the idea in 2020 and it only had 3 votes so far. Your support will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Jenn

I’d love to…

Hi Jenn,
Thanks for the reminder to update the calendars.

I actually created a homegrown DMT-like tool so I could handle cases like this where no DMT template exists… I might have to dig that back up.

It’s possible to create an updatable BAQ to add rows in erp.ProdCalDay table. You can then paste-insert records from an excel file.

In the classic UI, you can ctrl+click multiple days if you’re in the ‘year’ view. When you click toggle, they all get set. You can change to the next calendar in the left column, not lose the selected days, and toggle. I got it done pretty quickly across 12 calendars. The exception days will have a slightly bolded font.

Anyone want to bet that the Classic UI is faster than the Kinetic UI, start to finish? I’ll race ya!

I forget about the year view - and didn’t know it retains your highlights. I have a couple calendars left to go so will use this method.
Thanks!

Heck, I forget it too, and even have instructions in my annual Outlook reminder to use the Year view!
