Process MRP scheduled job details are inconsistent

After upgrading to 2023.2 we are finding that depending on which interface we use to view details of a Schedule Task for Process MRP we get shown different information.
For example, in the Classic smart client view we see a specific scheduled task as having “Regenerate” option checked, but if we then click on the link in the window to “Try the new version of the Process MRP app” to get to the same record in the Kinetic interface, it then is shown with the “Net Change” option selected.

Has anyone run into this or can check in your environment to see if you see the same?
I note that these jobs were scheduled to run with the Regeneration option before the upgrade to 2023.2 and this is being seen after the upgrade, but I’m not sure if this is an upgrade issue or just an interface oddity because this is not something we looked at using Kinetic in the prior version. Based on the duration to run the job it seems like it is now running with the Net Change option.

I bet the Classic or Kinetic UI got it’s defaults saved once upon a time, and now that’s what’s populating the form.

You can override the native settings by going to Actions (in Classic) or … (Overflow in Kinetic) > Save Defaults to save whatever you’ve got set in the screen.

If you delete the personalization (in Classic) or delete the personalization layer (in Kinetic with a data fix), it should revert to the native settings.

It looks like the issue is that the Classic smart client correctly shows the details of the Process MRP scheduled task when you open that through the smart client System Monitor, but when the same record is opened in Kinetic it actually opens the generic “Process MRP” screen where you can configure and run an ad-hoc run. What the users are seeing in Kinetic is therefore nothing to do with the scheduled task for Process MRP that they had thought they had opened and is simply showing the default parameters for any ad-hoc run we might want to run.

There doesn’t appear to be a way to view the details of a scheduled Process MRP task in Kinetic, but confusingly to users it looks like it does (but in fact it shows default settings).
It looks like it has to be done in the Classic smart client interface.

@NickPorter - This is a known loss of functionality when using the Kinetic system monitor (vs classic). Here’s an Ideas to vote for to get it back:

View parameters for scheduled tasks and process sets

In the classic UI, if I schedule MRP, then go into the classic system monitor, go to scheduled, and double click on the task, I can bring up the parameters that were used to schedule MRP. Likewise if I add MRP to my process set, I can go into classic process set maintenance, double click on the process, and bring up the parameters.

If I use the kinetic UI system monitor or the kinetic ui process set maintenance, this functionality is not available. I need a way to see what parameters a process is going to run with. According to support this is working as designed.

Is not the same as working as intended.

They are not fond of me when I point that out.

Even less so when you point out that their intentions were wrong
