We are attempting our first upgrade since switching from classic to kinetic on some screens and its deeply disappointing. One of the promises of kinetic was supposed to be seamless upgrades. But the first thing I discovered after upgrading is that the conversion removed all my kinetic layers from the menu items so I had to manually reapply them all.
Next issue, in Order Entry, the Hero Bar no longer displays the Salesperson, which is a built-in field (I didn’t add it - its there in base). I can kind of see what happened - we had customized the hero bar to display some additional information and hidden some of the built in info (like currency). It appears Epicor has now added another tag to the hero bar for Inactive Ship Via. But in doing so it seems it can’t figure out how to add the new tag without wiping out the existing field.

Even if I wanted to fix this by adding the salesperson back as a custom text box, I can’t, because application studio won’t let me add or rearrange text boxes in the hero bar in 2022.2. I discovered that if I drag the text box to the hero bar (and it looks like nothing happened), but then save and close and relaunch, the new text box control then magically appears. But it is impossible to move it to the right location on the hero bar. Then if I try to delete the text box, it again won’t delete unless I save close and relaunch again. I can’t believe application studio is even worse in 2022.2 than it was in 2021.2 but this is wholly unusable.
