Printing Landscape to Zebra Label Printer

It has been a few years since I used a Zebra printer, but I vaguely
remember having to do some setup on the printer itself in order to get
my labels to print.

Linda

Have you tried setting up the printer in the Printer Maintenance under
Company Maintenance. I see in the setup there is a checkbox for
landscape. Not sure if the Zebra is setup to be a network printer (or
even if it can be setup as a network printer), but it is worth a shot.

Hello All,

I have a couple of labels setup to print from Vantage to a zebra label printer. I am able to print to to this label printer in portrait orientation with no issues. However, I can't get the labels to print in landscape no matter what I do!

A few of the settings I have are as follows:

1) - In the crystal report, under page setup I have the orientation set to landscape.
2) - In the crystal report, under page setup and the printer button, and then properties button, I have the "Paper Layout" set to landscape.
3) - Under the settings for the printer, under printing preference I have the paper layout set to landscape.Â
4) - Under the settings for the printer, under the printing Defaults button I have the paper layout set to landscape.

Anybody come across issues like this before? What am I missing!?!?!

Thanks,

Dustin Biniek

To get my labels to print "landscape" I designed them that way in ZebraDesigner. There is a "Label Setup" option under File. Look at the properties (I think) there is a place to set the size of the label and you can design it in "portrait" mode then rotate it 180 degrees.
Hope this makes some sense. It sounds like the only thing you haven't tried is to design the label in a "landscape" layout.

Hello,
What Nancy says is right.
However, if you get you labels to print from crystal report the way you want them to, but are not able to do so from Vantage try this:

· Add /rpt to your Vantage shortcuts (this tells vantage to look at the reports configuration)

· If you still have trouble printing make sure your user is at least a power user on the computer. Sometimes with network printers the configuration is not saved to the printer on the local machine. Once the settings are saved and everything works the way you want it to, you can remove the users special permissions if you want.

Sébastien.-

Sebastien,

Thanks for the response. When you say "Add /rpt to your Vantage shortcuts", what exactly do you mean? Can you tell me where and how I need to set this?

Thanks,

Dustin Biniek
